Between 1984 and 1993 I made a handful of album illustrations for Dinosaur Jr, Sub Pop Records and Fuzzy ( the Boston based band that included Hilken Mancini who I would later work with in Punk Rock Aerobics). I never pursued this professionally, it was something I did for fun, something I did for friends that asked. I was 18 years old when I made the drawings for the first Dinosaur Jr. record.

Below are two music videos I made during that same time period. Dinosaur Jr's "Just Like Heaven" (1988) which was my first attempt at editing and using a green screen - the lo-fi aesthetic was intentional. I built a small set, and transformed the puppets to punkers. The room was inspired by J Mascis' childhood bedroom and the posters on the the wall are actual punk show flyers I scaled down. It played on MTV a couple of times until Sesame Street asked that it be removed.
